One of the biggest problems with sit-down jobs is that workers fall asleep. The quietness and the calmness of some jobs put the workers out faster than any sleep aid could. Fortunately, some stationary jobs do keep the brain juices flowing at all times. The following are just a few of them:
A software tester is a person who can perform his or her job from a chair and enjoy it very much. Such a person tests new software and writes a report on it. Someone who tests video games will most likely enjoy the job immensely. Software testers can earn up to $85,000 a year.
Customer Service Representative
A customer service representative’s job is anything but boring. This person’s job is more exciting than a soap opera is, even though that person gets to sit down. The customer service representative has to answer inquiries, listen to complaints and find solutions. Some customers are extremely dramatic when they interact with other people. This person can earn up to $65,000 per year depending on the company for which the person works.
Entrance Security Guard
A person can work as a sit-down security guard at businesses, retail locations and non-profit organization and various additional meetings. The security guard does not have a sleepy-time life. Instead, this person gets to see a variety of interesting characters from one day to the next. The security guard can earn $24,000 per year.
Those are just a few of the sit-down options that won’t require multiple cups of coffee. An interested person can apply for an open position in any of the above areas. The security guard applicant will most likely have to take a background check, and the software tester may need special training. Many interesting entry-level customer service positions are available, however.
